The Charles River Challenge (CRC) will be a not-for-profit,
Olympic distance triathlon (0.93-mile (1.5-kilometer) swim, 24.8-mile (40-kilometer) bike, and 6.2-mile (10-kilometer) run) celebrating:
the Charles River, open spaces and healthy living.

This first-in-the-nation fully pledged green and sustainable triathlon, slated for 2024,
will quickly become the region's premier annual event to swim the revitalized waters of the Charles River and
bike and run along its tree-lined banks.

The CRC is open to everyone from school-aged children (7 and up) to professional athletes. The CRC welcomes
individuals or relay teams; so even if you run like the wind but swim like a minnow, there's a place for everyone!
There will be a Kids Tri. and a highly anticipated "Beanpot" will be awarded to the University
relay team (hailing from anywhere in the globe) posting the best overall time.

Monies raised through the CRC will be granted to The Boston Foundation, the Cambridge Community Foundation,
the Charles River Conservancy, and the Charles River Watershed Association.  We are also proud to be in discussions with Dave McGillivray,
Director of the Boston Marathon and Founder of  DMSE Sports to work with us to oversee the operational and logistical aspects of the CRC.

We are currently seeking sponsorships and welcome any other communication.
